What does the system consist of?
The system consists of a desktop application, database server and web server. It also requires a Broadband connection to the Internet.
Do I need to be computer literate?
The system is designed to be operated by people with a limited knowledge of computing systems.
Who is responsible for the hardware?
You would be responsible for providing and maintaining your own hardware, including networking, and ensuring backup copies of the database are held securely. If required, these services can be provided under a maintenance contract.
What do I need for online board booking?
If you plan to offer Web services to agents you will need a Broadband connection and, if you don't already have one, a fixed IP address provided by your Broadband supplier. We can help and advise on this matter should you be unsure of what is required or why.
How can I transfer my current data onto the system?
If you have a large number of address and board information held on another system (e.g.. MS Excel spreadsheets) we may be able to pre-load your database with that information to save you time re-entering the data onto the new system. We can discuss the options available and give you a quote for data migration before you commit yourself.
How do I learn to use the system?
We will supply all the necessary training and expertise to set up the system and get you started. Technical support is included in the leasing cost and from time to time you will receive updates and product improvements to both the desktop application and the Web service.
Is there a minimum term for leasing the system?
Yes, the minimum term is one year.
